I would say look at the different mailing lists and see what ppl are using.
I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939, 1Gb ram, 3 S-ATA harddrives,
nVidia fx5200 graf card and it all pretty well works. I installed both 32bit
and 64bit FC3 and 64bit FreeBSD 5.3. My only problem is that I cannot
compile kdemultimedia-3.3.90.
