eclipse 3.1 crashes on fc3

Hi,
I just now installed FC3. My problem is that Eclipse keeps crashing:
on startup, on shutdown, on opening files, copy-paste, running programs...
(Average working time ~2min). If I don't do anything I think it stays o.k.

I tried Eclipse 3.1M2, 3.1M3 and 3.1M4 all of witch worked very well
on my previous installation of Mandrake9.1.

I have installed Java 1.4.2_06 with the instructions on various sites (german: 
http://www.manpage.ch/fedora/java.php ), set JAVA_HOME...

After discovering the crashes I updated gtk2 and now I have done
a yum update. But this also didn't help.

Does anybody have the same or similar experience and could offer me
some help?
