installation problem

I have a problem to install Fedora core1 (linux 10) into my computer. I had 
Windows XP in my C: drive and I had partition d: drive to use with XP as 
well. I had create the e: drive and format it with Partition magic for the 
linux partition. The problem is when i tried to install the Fedora the 
installation process stops at the line says : Kernal panic : fail to mount 
fs at 09:03    ( something like this) and the process stops. I waited for 
quite a long time but nothing happened. So i would like to ask for someone 
might know how to fix this problem .
