mouse/kvm problems

I think you were just lucky.  Seems like the Belkin KVM switches are
notorious for this kind of behavior.  Search out past threads on this.

I have a 4 port Belkin that I have beat into submission.  But the 8 port
Belkin that I have has never been able to work, regardless of the
psmouse settings that I have tried.  At the moment the 8 port unit is a
door stop.

You can try setting psmouse=imp or bare  (I think those were the
options) and see if you can get it to settle down.  It may be that you
had that set and when the kernel was upgraded you lost those settings.

Only other option is to try a different KVM.  Almost all reported
problems of this type seem to involve Belkins.
