anaconda: cannot execute binary file

hi,

i'm trying to install fedora core 3. when anaconda tries to load i get
the following error message:

/usr/bin/anaconda: cannot execute binary file
install exited abnormally

the system then unmounts all filesystems and says i can reboot. the same
problem happens with 2 different motherboards.

any thoughts on what i should look at next?

the machine has the following hardware:

motherboard: A7N8X-E Deluxe
cpu: Athlon XP 2600
hard disk: Maxtor SATA 160GB
