Does downloading a torrent file continues in background when I logout a session?

This is a personal choice thing, but I use screen, and always have a
(usually dormant/non-displaying) screen running btdownloadcurses.py. 
To me, that's simpler than using nohup, redirecting, etc.  TMTOWTDI,
right?
