Good day all -

After yum gracefully updated my FC3 system this morning, i went ahead
and tried to recompile my vpn client from Cisco (v4.6.00.45) and receive
the following errors upon starting the cisco_ipsec:

$/etc/rc.d/init.d/vpnclient_init start
Starting /usr/local/bin/vpnclient: insmod: error inserting
'/lib/modules/2.6.9-1.724_FC3/CiscoVPN/cisco_ipsec.ko': -1 Invalid
module format
Failed (insmod)

and dmesg shows:

cisco_ipsec: disagrees about version of symbol struct_module

the version it is expecting (from cisco_ipsec.mod.c) is { 0x7b0cc5cb,
"struct_module" }

this was working BEAUTIFULLY until yum did its magic :-( and i cannot
get the module to load at all. Does anyone have any tips?

Thanks in advance.
Michael Weiner
