OT: fedora extensions

sorry about the OT. i've scoured the web for an answer (and yes i have
RTFM and checked the mozilla forum site) but can't find an answer. 

when i install FireFox extensions like Sage and BBCode they always
install in the German Language. so two questions:

0) why is this happening?
1) how can i change it to english?

i'm using FireFox 1.0
