Running alsamixer and muting the "Headphone Jack Sense" got sound
working again on my T42.  I guess I can finally delete the old
kernel-2.6.8-1.521 and go back to kernel-2.6.10-1.9_FC2

Then again, I guess I need to finally upgrade to FC3...
