CUPS Fails under FC3

I use FC3 and have an HP DeskJet 3650 that worked with SuSE 9.1, Fedora 2, and 
Mandrake 10.0 that doesn't work under  FC3. The program that adds a printer 
is dog slow and when I go to print a test page, it says lpr says that there 
is some kind of error in cups, so I tried the updates from 
download.fedora.redhat.com with no luck. I tried saying it is on /dev/lp0 
and /dev/usb/lp0 and it doesn't work. Why not? Thanks!
