Connecting PALM TREO 600

Hi all,

I seem to have tracked down the issue... 

connecting works when I am root. It seems that the /dev/ttyUSB0
and /dev/ttyUSB1 are created when I hit the hotsync button. But since
these are created with root permissions, I cannot use them from my user
account. 

Any ideas as to how i can create these for user rather than for the
root  ?
