Anybody got experience with libvisual?

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone managed to compile the packages 
libvisual-nebulus-0.1.4 or libvisual-gforce-0.1.0 with taglib version 0.2.0 ?

They all complain that taglib version requested is 0.1.6 or 0.1.7.

Aren't upgrades suposed to be 'backwards-compatible'?  I mean version 0.2.0 is 
superiour to 0.1.6 so why doesn't it work?
