Migrating /home from FC3 to FC4

If you mean /home is on the / partition on which you want to do a fresh
install, you must backup/restore /home (preferably to a separate machine
or disk), as well as re-creating username/uid/group/gid information to
match.  If you want to preserve home across upgrades, having it on a
separate partition would be advisable.  I like to do a fresh install on
a new disk, or at least a new set of partitions, while keeping the old
system as a multi-boot option.  Can mount the old partitions under the
new installation and migrate user and system-config information from the
old to the new, while keeping the old install as a fall-back.  With the
low $/GB for disk space these days it is cheap insurance.
