Does it come up, and can you go to the /dev directory, and see what 
it list for the two items. I upgraded an old AMD K6 300Mhz from FC3 
to FC4, and it worked fine. I find the following in the /dev directory.

crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 1, 3 (date) null
crw-------    1 root root 5, 1 (date) console

Are the files missing or differrent.
