Latest lirc.86_64 conflicts

The latest lirc.x86_64 0:0.7.1-1 conflicts with files from package
lirc-0.6.6-4.1.fc3.rf.
Only manual files are involved as in the recent perl and mplayer update
bugs.
What would be the best solution rpm -e or wait for a new refurbished
package?
