WD 120 gb hard drive in 1394 external enclosre can't be detected

The relevant messages from /var/log/messages as you plug in and unplug
the the IEEE1394 cable to the card or drive, might help.

I have a Texas Instruments TSB12LV23 IEEE-1394 Controller on a PCI card
and a WD Media Center 250GB that works much better on firewire than USB.
