fc3 install

just installed fc3, well twice now :( during the install it fails to 
detect my video card (ATI x800xt) and says 'assuming <something>' kudzu 
detects the card but segfaults on saving the config so repeats each 
reboot and the setup menu does not have an item for configure gfx card. 
The ati drivers from their website will not install, conflicting with 
several libs already installed.

Help ;) how do i get this working.

Also:
Is there a way to tell yum to get the updates from a local drive, with 
redhat i've always DL'd the updates then done rpm -Fvh *.* but fc3 
didn't like that and yum now wants to DL the whole (600+mgs) lot again. :(
