Installing binaries

It's not particularly harmful, but isn't helpful, either. The only thing
special about /usr/local/bin is that it's (generally) in your PATH, so that
if you type "commandname", any matching command in that directory would run,
without you having to give the full path.

No reason at all to have non-executables there (and in fact, they don't
belong there.)
