ACPI is wrong in 2.6.11 kernels !

Sure. I run FC3 on a Dell Latitude as well, and it's fine. I've never
tried to get all the power features (like hibernation) working right,
but cpuspeed works great and I have excellent battery life.

At worst you will have trouble with suspend/standy/resume and
hibernate. Even if it doesn't work you shouldn't hurt anything.
