recompiling the FC3 kernel

i have installed the kernel source of Fedora Core 3 and i would like to know
the complete steps involved in recompilation of Fedora Core III kernel. I
would also like ot know, if aany one has free book for Recompiling Fedora
Core 3 kernel, please forward me,,, and it is urgent
