Evolution's compose window misbehaves

I'm running FC3 w/ Evolution 2.0.4 on a Gnome desktop. Evo has this very
irritating behavior where if the composer window is not maximized, the
window is "too tall" for the desktop. All attempts to resize the window
to make it "less tall" fail.

Is there a fix for this?
