ALSA on 2.6.14

Is anyone else seeing ALSA breakage with vanilla 2.6.14 kernel on FC4? I 
have even tried to upgrade alsa-lib to 1.0.10rc1-2 from rawhide but the 
following errors persist:

ALSA lib conf.c:1592:(snd_config_load1) _toplevel_:51:23:No such file or directory
ALSA lib conf.c:2837:(snd_config_hook_load) /etc/alsa/cards/aliases.conf may be old or corrupted: consider to remove or fix it
ALSA lib conf.c:2700:(snd_config_hooks_call) function snd_config_hook_load returned error: No such file or directory
ALSA lib pcm.c:1964:(snd_pcm_open_conf) Invalid type for PCM surround41 definition (id: surround41, value: cards.pcm.surround41)
alsa-init: playback open error: Invalid argument
