funny file-save dialog bug (file name disappears when I create a folder)

I'm using FC4, to which I fairly recently (~1 month ago) upgraded,
with gnome and almost entirely standard packages (I just let yum
handle it all).

When I go to save a file, in any application, and I use that dialog to
create a new folder, the file name disappears from the "Name" box. I
can type it in again, but that's annoying and I might make a mistake.

Does this happen to everyone? If not, how do I fix it? Thanks.
