ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/cdrecord/alpha/

get cdrtools-2.01.01a03.tar.bz2, or
cdrtools-2.01.01a03.tar.gz depending which you prefer
or feel most comfortable with.  extract them and build
from source and hopefully that problem will go away.
