i always liked eboard better but the development seemed to be rather
stalled but it supports the FICS protocol.

i had packages on newrpms.sunsite.dk for former fc releases.  When
evalling chess engines gnuchess beated crafty at ease ;).

p.s. a nice 3d frontend with the features of eboard would be nice... i
love to play over real FICS protocol using servers.
