Upgradation problem:ethereal

Hi,
I upgraded to Fedora Core 3 from Fedora core 2.
Ethereal did not work and the error was Segmentation fault.
I removed and installed ethereal from the rpm in fedora core 2 cd
Then the error was "undefined symbol:pcap_lib_version"
I then installed ethereal from the rpm in the fedora core 3 cd
But the error was the same.Please help
