mount mp3 player

try formatting the device under Linux as a VFAT FS. If you use fdisk (and be
*very* careful!!) choose the LBA version of VFAT. I am not by my Linux Box,
so I cannot check the exact settings for you - just type the help option to
get the list of available FSs.
