Getting structure of directories from an ISO file

I'm a bit confused.
You can read the countents of a CD image without burning it.
man mount
You can unpack a series of RH/Fedora CDs (or ISO images) - read the docs 
in the root directory. Doing so will also offer insites into my first 
suggestion.
