yum repos configured to use only ftp mirrors

Dear list,

due our proxy fails on most http requests bigger than a couple of megs
I'd like to configure yum in that way, that it ONLY uses ftp mirrors.
Ftp request pass the proxy without any issues.
I didn't find something like useonlyftp=1 in yum.conf so i intended to
ask here.

any ideas?
