Easy way of doing this:

# yum install yum-utils
(gets yum-utils from Extras is you don't already have it)

# yumdownloader $(rpm -qa --qf '%{NAME}\n' xorg-x11\* | uniq)

Correct. Using --force is almost never necessary or desirable.
