Installation problem on Fedora Core2

You could try something newer than FC2 (FC3 or FC4 for instance). Some 
have suggested getting some inux version that runs from CD to test your 
system to see if anything will work. (A live CD)

How much memory is in the computer that you are attempting the install 
on? Have you tried a "linux text" installation?
