FC-3 vcdImager Help

 I need the slolutions to 4 problems:

1.) How to know which version of Gtk+, gcc, glib etc.
I am using.


2.) I think there is some general way  of knowing the
versions of different sogtwares installed on one's
system. If there is
     anything like this,please tell me.

3.) Please tell me "What are and how to use LINKER
FLAGS like Wl, -L, --rpath. 

4.) (MAIN PROBLEM) --  GNU VCDImager problem: 

I have installed "LIBCDIO-0.73" on my system (FC-3).
During "./configure" it gives 2 messages:

a.) libcddb bot found
b.) libvcdinfo not found not able to find  NEW VERSION
of vcdinfo.... disabling vcdinfo

ALSO when i run the << make check >> i get the
following output (i am only showing the ERROR PART)

ANYHOW there is no problem with MAKE nad MAKE INSTALL.
these two run without any errors. Now i see "libcdio
fils " are installed in
/usr/local/lib &
/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig

and i have added these three PATHS in my <
/etc/ld.so.conf > file. also I have addes the
following export lines in my </home/.bashrc> file" 
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/local/lib

CAN ANYBODY tell me please what is happening and how
to INSTALL GNU vcdImager on my FC-3 system.
