OT, but for the records:

RHEL 3 is Red Hat Linux 9 based* and thus has a 2.4 kernel

RHEL 4 (latest Enterprise release) is Fedora Core 3 based* and thus runs
a 2.6 .kernel

* based shall mean that development work from the free product went into
the enterprise product
