I should have made clear that when you inspect the output of this and
compare it to your smb.conf and get an appreciation for how many
defaults you are actually using in samba - you would probably have to
use this file as your smb.conf and start editing from there if you
really didn't want to use the defaults (i.e. eat your own
dogfood...better not to use defaults)
