Samba: Could not get smbpasswd to work. Problem?

Try like this:  smbpassword -a johndoe

And you'll *add* a "johndoe" user to the Samba password file.  I think
that you'd only be able to modify an existing Samba user's password
(Samba user detailss are independent of the Linux system users) if you
omit the -a option.
