FC5 Media Check Failure

I seem to remember somewhere in FC4 that some, at least, of these failures 
are illusory, caused by different pad bytes during record. At any rate, 
the -dao switch seems to be important. The command I use in a script is:

cdrecord -v -dao -eject dev=ATA:1,0,0 -data $1
