lost sound on spdif after upgrade to FC5

Hi,

I have a Teratec Aureon soundcard and after upgrading from FC4 to FC5 I lost 
sound on the spdif output.
After fixing some cables again to the analog output (unbelievable that these 
cables are still necessary these days :-) ) I managed to get sound on there, 
but spdif is still a problem (I can chose the spdif output in some programs 
but it's not working).

Anyone knows where I need to start looking for the issue ?
