Network or USBDisk install?

Is it possible to install FC5 on either a Network connection or a USB
Disk? I'd like to try FC5 on my laptop, but I don't want to blow away my
current installations (dual boot WinXP & FC4). I have no unallocated
disk space available. 

One other caveat, it does not appear as though my laptop can boot from a
usbdisk. At least I don't see anything for that in the bios. 

Any suggestions? Thanks,
