About "ata1: command....."

Hi folks,

While I ran "yum update" on "init 3" following text displayed on the
screen continuously

ata1: command 0x35 timeout, stat 0x50 host_stat 0x24
ata1: command 0x35 timeout, stat 0x50 host_stat 0x24
ata1: command 0x35 timeout, stat 0x50 host_stat 0x24
.......

another occasion was while clearning the installing files after
updating the packages

I have to press "reset" to re-start the PC.

The above text has been displayed occasionally on this PC even not
running "yum update"

What did this line indicate?  How to avoid it.
