eclipse is crashing and system hangs

Hi ,

it is x86_32 ,3 GHZ 

steps i followed 
a. create a project named trialproject 
b. select trialproject->right click->import->file system->select
folder(on same window below click on select all) -> finish

after finish the eclipse window hangs.
