FC5 is actually late. The official schedule should have had it out the door a 
couple of months ago. It was delayed purposefully, but, it is, nevertheless, 
delayed. There are some fairly descriptive pages about Fedora at the official 
sites, including release schedules. You may want to spend ten minutes and 
read up - you're the only one who can decide whether it's 'safe' for you...
