Slow FC4, perhaps swap is to blame

What do you see if you leave 'top' running with the display
sorted on the VIRT column? Does some application's VIRT size
grow and grow? Or perhaps look at the SHR column - is something
expanding a shared-memory area each time it runs perhaps?
