FC5 & Dell 2007FPW - Anybody got widescreen? - Almost solved..

Aha!  Don't you love forums :D

Ok, so I did the little bios hack then generated the modeline from the
logs as instructed in this very handy page :

My logs for the 2007WFP showed :

(II) I810(0): clock: 146.2 MHz   Image Size:  434 x 270 mm
(II) I810(0): h_active: 1680  h_sync: 1784  h_sync_end 1960 h_blank_end
2240 h_border: 0
(II) I810(0): v_active: 1050  v_sync: 1053  v_sync_end 1059 v_blanking:
1089 v_border: 0

And so my resulting modeline is : 
ModeLine     "1680x1050" 146.2 1680 1784 1960 2240 1050 1053 1059 1089

Now I have _almost_ the right result, it looks ok, width is find, but
the bottom gnome panel is missing from the screen and the fonts look
like it's not running in native resolution.. 

Funny thing is the monitor display menu says the resolution is 1280x1024
@ 64 but there is no panning around the screen and both gnome and X
report 1680x1050..

Might just go buy a real video card as this damn integrated intel didn't
come with DVI, anybody know why on earth some computers still ship with
either Analog or floppy disks?
