Why I see certain messages from mailing list not ordered corectly by thread

You expect people to read and follow list etiquette when they don't search the
archives before posting a question??  ;-)  I have lost count of the recent
series of 'same problem - different thread' posts lately. The nfs-utils update
problem comes to mind as a recent example.
