looked to me more like Xorg couldn't find *any* .conf gile and was using 
  all builtin defaults, which could well happen to be the wrong type of 
mouse, but that is hardly the point ...
 It is using default for all configuration (due to problem at install time, could not detect I guess correct video).
 
 At this point how can I fix this ?
