Same kernel different modules?

Is there a way to install the same version of a kernel more than once
but depending on kernel you pick in grub, it would load different
modules?

I have a laptop in which the video module conflicts with the wireless
network module.

If there is step by step instructions on the Internet somewhere that
would be great.
