Nothing is going to convince some people that following the
guidelines of the list is a good idea. So for my piece of mind, I
have started a filter that deletes their messages. After all, they
have said they do not want my help. If the majority of the list
feels that they don't need to follow the guidelines, then they
should be changed. If I don't agree with the new guidelines, then I
just leave the list. If too many people do that, the list dies. But
at least the there are no more complaints about people not following
the guidelines.
