USB to Serial Adapter

Good morning,

Can someone recommend to me a good 8 or 16 port USB to Serial (9pin)
adapter box that will work with a 2.6.9/2.6.17 kernel?  I've tried the
Digi Edgeport/8 and some various Quatech models and they have failed me.
