ghemical and mopac7 on FC5

hi,

I am trying to install ghemical 2.0 on FC5. I am having a problem
passing the config on mopac7 which is complaining about libg2c. I have
the compat-gcc-32-g77 but for some reason the mopac7 config is looking
at a wrong location for the libg2c.a

my issue is how should I modify the configure script so that it can read
the /usr/lib/gcc-libs/i386-redhat-linux/3.2.3/spec ?

is there any one up there able to compile mopac7 on FC4 or FC5?
