Latest yum update of KDE loses some icons

I don't know if you have the same problem that I have or not, but here
goes:
If I am not mistaken, your screenshot looks something like this:

I continue to have this problem because I run KDE compiled from the
Branch 3.5 sources &installed in a non-default location (so as not to
overwrite the FC RPMS)  For me it goes something like this:
1. Install new version of Fedora Core.
2. Reboot, login.  Discover that my KMenu has been trashed:

3. Run the following command as root: "rpm -e --nodeps redhat-menus"
4. A few seconds after the command finishes running, my KMenu is back
to normal:

Unfortunately, some official Fedora Core updates depend on
redhat-menus.  So if I exclude that RPM in my yum.conf, I don't get
those updates (I assume)  So, what I have to do is run "rpm -e --nodeps
redhat-menus" whenever "redhat-menus" is reinstalled during a "yum
update"

Again, this might not be your problem, but based on how your KMenu
looks, and the fact that it got hosed after an update at least makes
our situations look similar.

Rex: a few weeks ago this problem seemed to be fixed.  But then it just
started happening to me again.  I looked for the thread where you and I
discussed this issue, but I could not find it.  I have no idea when
"redhat-menus" started going back to destroying my KMenu....
